No

At North Star Tuition, the safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive  and respectful learning environment. Each of our tutors are required to:

  • Hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).

  • Complete our recruitment and screening process.

  • Agree to our child safety policy and code of conduct.

  • Maintain professional standards and appropriate boundaries at all times.

  • Report concerns about child safety or wellbeing.

Whether the session takes place online or in-home, we are committed to maintaining safe learning environments. We encourage parents to:

  • Be aware of scheduled tutoring sessions.

  • Maintain open communication with their tutor.

  • Raise any questions or concerns with us promptly.

  • For in-home sessions, conduct the lesson in an open area of the house.

We take all child safety concerns seriously. If a tutor, parent or student believes a child’s safety may be at risk, we encourage them to contact us as soon as possible. All concerns are treated confidentially, assessed appropriately and responded to in accordance with legal and ethical obligations.

Child safety is an ongoing commitment and as such, we regularly review our policies, procedures and practices to ensure we continue to provide a safe and positive learning environment.

We can be contacted at info@northstartuition for any concerns or queries.
